On October 2, 2023, the Commissioner's Office held training in the area of application of the Personal Data Protection Law to representatives of the Office of the National Security Council and Classified Information. The purpose of the training was to get 20 attendees acquainted with the provisions of the Law and to eliminate doubts about its application. The entire duration of the training was intertwined with a discussion with representatives of the Council's Office, where all doubts regarding the application of the Law were resolved.

The training was conducted by accredited lecturers from the Commissioner's Office Milan Tomanović, Marin Cetinić, and Marko Milošević.

On September 29 and 30, as part of the Digital Expedition, representatives of the Commissioner's Office, Maja Veličković, Duško Gudurić, and Dragan Milovanović, held lectures for students of upper grades of elementary schools from Obrenovac and the surrounding area. Lectures were held on the premises of the library "Vlada Aksentijević", the newly opened facility in Obrenovac. On that occasion, children were presented with the new adapted-for-the-youngest video clips, currently being broadcast on numerous television stations as part of the campaign "Personal data is our treasure, how can we protect it?". With the help of the "New Literacy" program, which is jointly implemented by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Propulsion organization, the Commissioner prepared a brochure for children, authored by Dragan Ilić, the said videos above for children and a television campaign.

These lectures aim to educate the youngest fellow citizens, as representatives of the new generation growing up in the age of fast-growing development of artificial intelligence and general digitization, about what personal data is, why and how you can protect it, as well as how they can help older fellow citizens who cannot manage in the new digital environment.

The "Digital Expedition" caravan is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications, the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs, the Office for IT and eGovernment, the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection and in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the European organization Propulsion.

In the continuation of the conference "Data Protection in the Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership Region" in Brussels, Commissioner Milan Marinović and Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unković attended a lecture held at the GIZ headquarters in Brussels by Director Andrea von Rauch, visited the European Parliament Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs, and then they attended a lecture on the topic of bringing to public attention the challenges and problems of data protection, raising awareness and the coexistence of digital transformation and data protection, and they got acquainted with the work of the Belgian Commissioner for Data Protection. The exchange of opinions and experiences between the event participants was especially interesting and fruitful.

On the last day of the event, the participants were acquainted with how the relationship between data protection and digitalization of public and private services was resolved in the province of Flanders, the impact of technology development, especially artificial intelligence, on data protection and the use of innovative digital solutions under the regulations and standards of the European Union in personal data protection.
